New Content Distribution Platform Harnesses The Power Of Facebook

secret location [1]Film, television and web series brands now have an easy and inexpensive way to create an engaging, robust marketing page on Facebook with the launch of FanViewr [2], a new content distribution platform from Secret Location [1]. The powerfully simple tool enables any entertainment brand, big or small, to upload photos and video, post episode schedules and synopsis, and display status updates — all within one page. The application can be activated with a 30-day free trail for anyone with a Facebook brand page.

“For too long, it’s been complicated, convoluted and costly to create Timeline apps and publish custom content within Facebook,” says James Milward, Founder & Executive Producer, Secret Location. “With FanViewr, entertainment brands can harness the power of Facebook — without having to enlist a third-party web developer.”

FanViewr lets content creators take advantage of Facebook’s new Timeline for Pages by providing an all-in-one custom application designed for entertainment products. By following simple prompts, users can post cast bios, episode synopsis and broadcast schedules with ease.

FanViewr also allows users to embed video — from full episodes to sneak peeks — and organize Facebook, Get Glue and Twitter streams.

“FanViewr eliminates the need for multiple apps, is fully supported, and appears as a tab with a custom thumbnail image and title beneath the cover photo on the new timeline,” adds Milward.

For broadcasters who want enhanced integration, a custom FanViewr package is available with a proprietary video player that can stream entire TV episodes. The video tab can also be configured to use a broadcaster’s branded player. Future features like polls, trivia, mini-games are on the horizon for FanViewr as is the ability to charge for content with Facebook credits.

“FanViewr is a must-have tool for anyone who wants to quickly set-up a fully integrated video experience in Facebook,” says Jeremy Gutsche, CEO of Trendhunter.com [3]. “The other video tools we looked at for Facebook were either useless or needlessly complicated. We needed something more comprehensive and high-end for our 2 million fans. Check it out and you’ll be playing with the big dogs in a matter of minutes.”

FanViewr is one of two applications developed by Secret Location, among a growing catalogue of products and services. The tool was initially built to help customize and manage Facebook content for the company’s broadcasting and production clients.

To date, FanViewr has been used to deliver episodes and docu-trailer videos for the procedural drama King (Showcase) and by History Television (D-Day to Victory) and TELETOON (My Babysitter’s a Vampire). FanViewr is also growing its web series subscribers, which include Black Cab Sessions [4], Trendhunter.com [5] and Keynotes.org [6].

Visit the web site to get started with FanViewr [2] and enjoy a free 30-day trial.
