CounterPath Bria Mobile Softphone iPad App Recognized For Innovation By CTIA E-Tech Awards
CounterPath Corporation has announced that its Bria iPad Edition mobile softphone application has won third place in the CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards for the category Mobile Applications: Productivity, Utility and Safety. CounterPath’s application was judged alongside nearly 250 entries for innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall “wow” factor.
Bria iPad Edition application enables users to make and receive voice and video calls, send and receive SMS and IM, chat with Facebook and Google Talk friends, and see when contacts are available using their iPad over either a 3G/4G or Wi-Fi connection.
The CTIA E-Tech Awards honor the most innovative new products in 15 categories spanning the areas of mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise and infrastructure. The winners were announced at International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012, currently taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bria iPad Edition has also recently been named 2012 Most Innovative VoIP Product/Service by the Internet Telephony Service Providers’ Association (ITSPA) and 2011 Product of the Year by Internet Telephony Magazine. Last month, CounterPath was named one of Canada’s Top 5 Mobile Technologies Companies by Branham Group.
