Sprylogics Enhances Intellectual Property Portfolio

sprylogics [1]Sprylogics International Corp. [1] is pleased to announce that it has filed additional patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office related to the application of the Company’s technology platform within messaging and mobile application contexts. These patent filings, combined with an already pending application represent significant steps forward in the Company’s ability to realize value from its core semantic technology.

The new filings relate to a number of related technologies. One technology provides an enhanced method of analyzing messages, identifying and creating a list of entities, and selectively displaying the list of entities. The identified set of entities can be used to target personalized and contextualized advertising to the user.  Another technology provides a method for providing a user with a list or map view of places or locations based on density, popularity ranking and clustering of the places or locations of interest, triangulating the location of multiple users.

The Company continues to invest in technology and intellectual property related to mobile search and advertising, mobile commerce and messaging. Worldwide mobile advertising revenue is expected to reach 20.6 billion by 2015, with search advertising expected to be largest contributor, according to Gartner. The mobile messaging opportunity specifically represents a massive and largely unmonetized opportunity with Ovum estimating over 600 billion mobile messages are sent each month.

“Many leading industry analysts agree on the incredible growth trajectory of mobile advertising, search and messaging.  Sprylogics is uniquely positioned at the intersection of these explosive sectors and we will continue to enhance our technology and intellectual property portfolio to exploit our position,” said Marvin Igelman, Chief Executive Officer.
