A new partnership between CBC Music, the Coalition for Music Education and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will take the annual Music Monday celebration of music education to new heights – with a little help from Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield. A veteran of two space shuttle missions, Hadfield is scheduled to blast off this December for a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS), during which he will become the commander of the spacecraft – a first for any Canadian. Cineplex Entertainment has announced plans to build a new movie theatre in Sarnia. The 31,000 square foot Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia will feature eight auditoriums and approximately 1,600 stadium seats. Sweet Tooth Inc., a Waterloo-based developer of eCommerce customer loyalty software, has secured $2.25 million in funding. Of this, a total of $1.5 million in seed financing will come from OMERS Ventures, the Ontario government funded MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) and Points International. 411.ca, Canada’s Local Search Engine, re-launched today with great new features for advertisers and users. Advertisers will see a completely revamped Advertiser Centre. At a glance, business owners can now see their ad as it appears in search results as well as the number of times it has been viewed over the past 30, 60, 90 or 180 days. They can also send messages-such as announcements about a sale or special event-to 411.ca users and pick which review to highlight on their ad.
