Following an incredibly productive MIPTV 2012, Distribution 360 is pleased to announce that it has closed sales for three of its television programs. Leading the pack is Olive the Ostrich, a pre-school animated series for kids. Originally produced by Blue Zoo for Nickelodeon UK, Olive was sold by D360 to BBC Kids, Knowledge Network (Canada) and TFO for French Canada.
As well, continuing its international success, the This is Daniel Cook and This is Emily Yeung series were acquired by TV Film International in Latin America with Fatallah Films in the Middle East also attaining rights to This is Daniel Cook. On the factual side, AETN All Asia Networks obtained the television rights to the paranormal series Ghostly Encounters.
“There continues to be great interest for our programming, all of our hard work over the past year has paid off and buyers seem ready to acquire entertaining content,” said Kirsten Hurd, Senior Sales Executive, Distribution360. “In addition, we’re thrilled to continue finding great broadcast homes for our kids series and excited to help our factual programming expand it’s reach.”
Paranormal experiences aren’t just the domain of psychics and tarot card readers – in fact, many ordinary people believe they have experienced supernatural encounters. This series looks into those incidents and the regular folks-next-door who had them, and takes the viewer on a chilling ride through a fascinating, highly personal ghost story. There is no question that many people believe they have experienced otherworldly incidents, and Ghostly Encounters approaches each event not asking if it happened, but why it happened. Produced by Wraith Films Inc.
