Frendo Launches Beta Donation Engine For Non-Profits

frendoFrendo has created a tool that empowers charities, non-profits, and fundraisers to receive every cent of an online donation. Frendo’s proprietary tool enables them to bring fee-free donations for bank account transactions, and a credit card option with a low 2.75% transaction cost to cover that service.

According to the Wall Street Journal’s article on, “The Cost of Giving”, transaction fees are upwards of 15% on some donation platforms, resulting in millions of dollars a year never getting to the cause it was intended for.

“We saw some statistics that didn’t resonate with us, and so we decided to create a donation tool that does,” says Cameron Chell, Co-Founder and CEO of Frendo.

The team behind Frendo has built a technology that is safe and secure, and they’ve acquired it’s own proprietary payment engine which enables Frendo to keep transaction costs low.

“The technology that we have has been used to transfer millions of dollars,” says Chell. “We can’t wait to experience the difference that Frendo will bring to the Charity and Non-profit world. For the first time, people can send micro-donations because there are no fees.”

Frendo has integrated easy to use social sharing capabilities, so that when someone donates to a charity or non-profit, they can easily share it amongst their existing social networks.

“An organization can actively use Frendo’s tool to acquire new donors through social media,” says Chett Matchett, Director of Community Engagement for Frendo. “Because once someone donates through Frendo, they are inspired and encouraged to share it with their friends.”

From its offices in Fairfield CT and Calgary AB, Frendo provides an online social tool that enables people to send donations fee-free to their favorite charities. This tool is designed for people who are connected by their common desire to take action and provide funding for worthy charities. Frendo acquired Broker Processing Services, Inc. in 2010, a company with seven years of experience in safe funds transfer.
