Canadian Colocation Hosting Provider 7L Expands Server Colocation in Toronto

7L [1]7L [2], a leading provider of server colocation, web server hosting, and other Toronto data center solutions, has expanded their services to include secure colocation cages and private colocation suites in their 90,000 sq.ft building. The move comes in response to an increase in IT hosting service demand in Canada.

The Toronto data center market has seen recent expansions including Peer1, a relative new-comer to Toronto, Data Centers Canada’s addition to their Toronto North facility, a major proposed expansion to the 151 Front Street data center carrier hotel, and Q9 working with the New York Stock Exchange at one of their Toronto data center facilities.

“The need for colocation services are at an all time high in Toronto”, says Cassius Adams, co-founder of 7L. “We expect the growth trend to continue through at least the next 5 years”.

7L’s colocation hosting in Toronto [3] has been expanded to meet future demand. Additionally, the 90,000 sq.ft building the 7L data center is located in allows the company to provide not only secure cages to their colocation customers, but also private colocation suites and Internet offices. “We affectionately call them ‘colo condos'”, says Adams. “Toronto is leading North America in terms of construction, headed by a decade-long condo crazy boom”. 7L’s data center is surrounded by six different multi-billion dollar public-private-partnership development projects.

Toronto is home to just under 50% of Canada’s data center market and leads the nation in Internet companies.
