ZIK Streaming Platform Launches With 12 Million Songs

zikGroupe Archambault is pleased to present ZIK, a new music streaming service. Offering 12 million songs with fully interactive and unlimited access, ZIK is also the largest collection of French-language music, with 1.2 million titles in French.

“The ways of consuming music and business models have grown in number in recent years. After vinyl, CDs and MP3s, accessing music without owning it is one of the most exciting models,” commented Pierre Marchand, president, Music Sector, Groupe Archambault. “Today, Groupe Archambault is proud to position itself at the forefront of this technological, musical and cultural shift with the launch of ZIK in Quebec and across Canada.”

The impressive selection of music available on the platform, which contains the equivalent of 68 years of continuous music, is only part of the interactive and unlimited experience for subscribers, who can follow their favourite artists, add music from other users to their selection, post their findings on social networks, find music charts, build playlists, access the latest music news, etc. With ZIK, the possibilities are endless and stand out by placing French-language music in the heart of our identity as a people and society.

ZIK offers both online streaming and offline access on mobile devices. For $9.99 per month, users get unlimited access to 12 million songs; for $14.99 per month (the average price of a CD), the entire music collection is also available via mobile devices, tablets and computers.

“ZIK is a showcase that will give a prominent place to Quebec’s artists and culture, while offering a unique editorial content, written by locals for locals,” added Donald Lizotte, president, Retail Sector, Groupe Archambault.

“Quebecor has always strived to foster and promote Quebec talent.” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor and Quebecor Media. “This new service is further evidence of Quebecor Media’s commitment to enable our creative output to flourish and always be at the forefront of innovation on every platform where people get their information and entertainment.”

By subscribing now, music lovers will enjoy an introductory offer that will give them one free month of access.
