Eventbrite Offers Québécois New Localized French Version

eventbrite [1]In a display of continued commitment to international expansion, US-based Eventbrite has announced a fully-localized French version of its innovative ticketing platform for French Canadian speakers [2]. This launch place the company’s pioneering platform in eight countries, each with fully localized offerings. Today’s announcement also included versions in Spanish and French for France.

Eventbrite’s simple and powerful event organization, promotion, and ticketing tools have helped customers worldwide issue over 50 million tickets, to date. In 2011 alone, events were posted on the platform in over 170 different countries, and the company has reported that nearly 20% of its business comes from outside the United States. This is evidence of the pervasive need for easy-to-use, flexible event management software that can be leveraged by organizers of both large and small events around the world. Already there have been over 2 million tickets issued on the Eventbrite platform in Canada.

Renaud Visage, Eventbrite’s French Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, has been looking forward to the international expansion. “In 2011 alone, organizers in Quebec used Eventbrite to host a variety of gathering and events – from music and art festivals to networking and professional gatherings – and we look forward to providing an even more comfortable experience to organizers and attendees in the region.” Visage continues, “I’m thrilled that we’re leveraging our six years of experience in the US to bring this fully localized self-service platform to French speakers around the world.”

Recently, Eventbrite was the ticketing provider for the Montreal Snow Village, the International Startup Festival, and the Mondial de la bière 2012, and is kicking off the localized offering for French Canadian speakers by being the ticketing company of choice for the Gala Prix Reconnaissance 2012 and the 25th edition of the HEC Montreal Fashion Show.
