Video Insight Adds ImmerVision Enables 360-Degree Panomorph Viewing Functionality to IP Video Surveillance Suite

Immervision [1]ImmerVision [1] has announced today that Video Insight IP Video Surveillance Software version 5 now comes with ImmerVision Enables®, the most leading-edge 360-degree viewing standard offering expanded surveillance coverage and heightened situational awareness.

Video Insight IP video surveillance software is an enterprise-class IP camera management system designed for multi-campus environments. By simply equipping their cameras with panomorph lenses, Video Insight customers get a bird’s-eye view and distortion free images of their entire surroundings, giving them more real-time information to reduce response time in critical situations.

“The openness of ImmerVision’s 360-degree panomorph technology is unlike any other 360-degree technology on the market today,” says James Whitcomb, Chief Technology Officer from Video Insight. “With ImmerVision Enables panomorph lenses, our customers can take their existing cameras, add panomorph lenses and turn them into high-performance 360-degree cameras, increasing coverage and keeping costs to a minimum.”

With support of this revolutionary immersive viewing technology, Video Insight’s easy-to-use surveillance software provides a full 360-degree view from which customers can fluidly navigate through and zoom into both live or playback video. Having ImmerVision Enables in Video Insight’s surveillance platform also offers customers the ability to pull up a single panomorph video source and have it simultaneously displayed in many different independent views.

“We are excited to add Video Insight’s surveillance software to the list of ImmerVision Enables certified solutions,” said Alessandro Gasparini, Chief Commercial Officer at ImmerVision. “Video Insight’s multi-campus customers will fully appreciate the added 360-degree capabilities in their IP video surveillance system, as they cover more ground and see more events in real-time or during investigations.”
