rymaMontreal-based product management solutions provider Ryma Technology Solutions Inc. has named Mike Gero as Vice President of Business Development. In his role, Gero will oversee Ryma’s various partner programs, including the recently-announced Affiliate Partner program. He will also work closely with customers and partners to elicit feedback and better understand the needs of the market. By doing so, Ryma will be well-positioned to define the features and benefits for future builds of FeaturePlan and maintain its position as the industry’s leading product management solution.

“We needed to find someone with a unique blend of experience in B2B enterprise solutions, product management, product marketing and business development,” said Michel Besner, President and CEO, Ryma. “With over 20 years of experience managing, marketing and evangelizing software and hardware products for enterprises, e-commerce, web and media applications, Mike is the ideal person to fill this role.”

“I’m really excited to be joining Ryma,” said Gero. “Having spent the bulk of my career in product management, I recognize the unique value of FeaturePlan, as well as the market potential for such a powerful product management solution. There’s excellent opportunity for a wide variety of technology, services and channel partnerships. ”

Gero most recently served as Coveo’s Senior Director of Product Marketing, where he launched Coveo Insight Solutions, an enterprise search-based platform that changed the way that customer service, product development and sales & marketing teams leverage disparate knowledge resources to deliver better service and product innovation. Prior to Coveo, Gero served as Vice President of Product Management for Coradiant (acquired by BMC), and held senior product management positions at Actional (acquired by Progress Software), Alis Technologies and Softimage (acquired by Microsoft).

Gero holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lafayette College, and studied for his MBA at Concordia University.
