Boast Capital Showcases StartUpGauge At DemoCamp Calgary

boast capitalScientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) consulting firm Boast Capital unveiled StartUpGauge at DemoCamp Calgary. StartUpGauge is a platform that enables people to easily validate their ideas and connect with the right resources to form a team and take the idea further.

StartUpGauge was conceived by Joyce Tse, Ben Guenter, Byron Blair, Jessica Dineley, and Lloyed Lobo, partner at Boast Capital, at the recent Calgary Startup Weekend taking second place at the competition. The winner of Calgary Startup Weekend earned a spot to present at DemoCamp Calgary; however, since they did not have a working product, StartUpGauge was given the spot. With 3 days to go, StartUpGauge roped in Alex Popa, partner at Boast Capital, to help develop the platform.

The idea behind StartUpGauge is simple – people upload a 30 second pitch that gets voted “Cash or Crash,” following which voters and pitchers have the opportunity to collaborate and take the idea further.

“We believe that everyone has a great idea, but not everyone can translate it into a successful venture,” said Lloyed Lobo, partner at Boast Capital in introducing StartUpGauge at DemoCamp Calgary. “StartUpGauge helps you easily validate your ideas and find the right resources to make it happen…Think Hot or Not meets eHarmony for your ideas.”
