Big Sandwich Games Acquired By Z2Live

Big Sandwich GamesSeattle-based Z2Live, creators of genre defining, free-to-play social games for mobile devices, today announces the acquisition of Big Sandwich Games, an independent full-service game development studio based in Vancouver. Led by game industry veterans Glenn Barnes and Tyler Sigman, the Big Sandwich Games team will create the foundation of the newly formed Z2Live Games Vancouver.

“Big Sandwich Games clearly executes at a level that meets our bar for quality”, said Lou Fasulo, COO at Z2Live. “The acquisition represents a key part of our long term strategy to build, operate and scale genre defining games.”

The new studio gives Z2Live a foot hold in the talent rich Vancouver market and will allow them to source talent locally and abroad for their rapidly growing business. Z2Live’s growth and expansion is not relegated to Vancouver. The Seattle based start-up recently relocated its headquarters and all 80 of its employees to a new office in Downtown Seattle right next to the iconic Pike Place Market.

“We were flat out of space, having grown from 16 to 80 employees in the last year” said David Bluhm, CEO at Z2Live. “The Z2Live team, all of which share equity in the company, earned the new space with their dedication to create, operate and scale our games worldwide.”
