Embotics Signs Its First Pan-European Distribution Agreement

emboticsEmbotics Corporation, a pioneer in virtualization and private cloud management, today announced that it has signed a pan-European distribution deal with Magirus, a leading European IT solutions provider. Embotics’ first Europe-wide distribution agreement will give Magirus’ 6,000 resellers across the continent access to Embotics V-Commander™, a virtualization and private cloud management solution geared toward the mid-market businesses served by Magirus resellers.

Embotics V-Commander presents resellers with an out-of-the-box, cost-effective software solution to help enterprises optimize their virtualized data centers and move to efficient private cloud deployments.

“Embotics V-Commander gives our resellers and their customers the means to migrate from virtualized to private cloud environments, which is a significant need in the European market,” said Christian Magirus, chief operating officer at Magirus. “V-Commander opens the door for resellers who are already acting as trusted cloud advisers. These resellers are eager to deploy managed private clouds that are easy to install and capable of exceeding customer expectations.”

Embotics V-Commander’s wizard-driven interface can be installed and configured in just 15 minutes. It allows users to provision virtual machines (VMs) themselves and manages the request and approval workflow process from end-to-end, while also offering chargeback and IT costing analysis. The technology also keeps private cloud resources optimized by providing a 360-degree view of the entire virtualized environment, eliminating virtual server sprawl, ensuring operational efficiency, and saving on costs and resources.

“Embotics and Magirus look made for each other, since both companies have their sweet spots in mid-market enterprises. V-Commander is a true easy-to-install solution, and we expect it will compete strongly against some of the established cloud management tools,” said John Armstrong, director, Computerworld. For example, in one instance, Embotics’ V-Commander revealed to a chief information officer that each of his organization’s VMs had been allocated 32 Gb of RAM when only 1 percent was being used. V-Commander presents such information in an easy-to-read format so that businesses can make decisions quickly.”

Magirus and Embotics will undertake joint marketing efforts to recruit channel partners. In addition, Embotics will help serve new channel business by recruiting pre- and post-sales staff and technical architects.

“There is a huge market opportunity for European resellers to perform comprehensive assessments that show the reality of enterprises’ virtual estates, what infrastructure they own, what resources they are consuming and how to right-size and migrate to private cloud deployments,” said Martin Sajkowski, Embotics director of internal operations, U.K. “Magirus has an extensive continental footprint and deep expertise in virtualized data centers and cloud computing services. Its thousands of resellers and their customers will find that the return on investment (ROI) in V-Commander can be measured in hours.”
