New Podcast For Fantasy Baseball Fans

fantasy baseballA new podcast is now available for baseball fans in general and fantasy baseball fans in particular. The “Dear Mr. Fantasy” podcast is an extension of the fantasy baseball blog of the same name. Chris McBrien, the baseball blogger from Barrie and the writer behind the website, also takes to the microphone to produce the weekly podcast, which launched its inaugural show on January 15th, 2012.
Once the major league baseball regular season begins, the podcast will feature recurring segments such as “Fantasy Baseball News”, “Who’s Running Hot & Cold”, “Waiver Wire Pitchers” and “Fantasy Feedback”. Until the regular season opens on April 4, 2012, the podcast will focus on player analysis position-by-position, concentrating on the top ten players at each position, sleeper picks and rookies. The idea is to help fantasy baseball owners get ready for their upcoming league drafts.

McBrien, a veteran of television and radio, has been involved in fantasy baseball for twenty years and began writing about fantasy baseball through a newsletter in the summer of 1993. After co-hosting the television program “Insult to Injury” from 1997-1999 and years of sports writing for several newspapers and radio stations, McBrien starting the “Dear Mr. Fantasy” blog in April 2011. This led to the launch of the companion podcast to fulfill a niche for both baseball and fantasy baseball fans alike.“Baseball fans truly love the game and fantasy baseball is a means to get involved in that love for the game at an even deeper level”, states McBrien. “The passion that people show toward the game is incredible. Producing a podcast of this type is all about passion. I love baseball and I love what I do”.

The podcast is produced weekly and episodes are available for download on a variety of podcatching clients, including iTunes.
