Make Technologies Offers Cloud Migration Webinar

Make TechnologiesMake Technologies, leader in legacy application modernization software and services, will team up with Kaavo, Inc., an American cloud management software provider, to deliver a webinar titled “Migrate Legacy Applications to the Cloud” on January 24, 2012 at 11 am PST/2pm EST. Cloud computing has moved from science fiction to business reality. Enterprises are looking to cut costs and gain agility by migrating mainstream business applications to cloud infrastructure and platforms. Getting those applications to a “cloud-friendly” form is proving to be a challenge – mainframe and client server applications are not usually well suited to cloud infrastructure. What’s more, managing business workloads in the cloud often requires new IT skillsets and brings its own risks.

The webinar will be presented by Sam Somashekar, VP Marketing and Business Development, Kaavo Inc. and Greg Ogburn, Senior Modernization Architect, Make Technologies

Make Technologies and Kaavo provide a glidepath to the cloud for real-world legacy business applications, in three steps:

  1. Make Technologies’ TLM® Portfolio Assessment Edition finds “low hanging fruit” – business applications in the portfolio that can easily be migrated to cloud technologies – and provides a plan to migrate these apps and integrate them back to the non-cloud applications in the portfolio.
  2. Make Technologies’ TLM® Re-Architecture Edition enables modernizing any legacy application to a cloud-friendly, distributed, service-oriented Java or .Net platform to take greatest possible advantage of cloud technology.
  3. Kaavo’s IMOD software enables seamless deployment and management of distributed business applications in a wide variety of public and private cloud environments. Kaavo supports managing a safe, incremental migration of business applications to the right mix of cloud infrastructure for your enterprise.
