Quebec’s ImmerVision and Tamaggo Preview Unique Consumer Product At CES

ImmervisionImmerVision, inventor of the 360o panomorph lens and worldwide expert in immersive optical tamaggotechnology, has licensed its unique ImmerVision Enables technology to Tamaggo, Inc. Both companies are headquartered in Montreal.

Tamaggo is first to use the ImmerVision patented technology in a digital camera. The company’s initial consumer product, the Tamaggo 360-imager, is a 14MP device that captures a 360o x 200o field of view and has already tamaggo 360earned the company recognition as a CES 2012 Design and Engineering Award Honoree.

The device, which has a distinctive egg-shaped and ergonomic design, will easily interface with computers, TVs, mobile phones, and tablets, making image-sharing easy.

The camera, using advance panomorph optics, leapfrogs today’s other 360° options in the consumer marketplace – including fish-eye lenses, mirrors and rotating-head attachments – and will be previewed this week at CES in Las Vegas.

“We are particularly enthusiastic about Tamaggo’s innovative design, which makes digital 360° panoramas accessible, easy and fun for all,” said Pascale Nini, ImmerVision’s President and CEO. “And the panoramic images generated by this camera can be manipulated with any ImmerVision Enables software, for a truly immersive experience.”
