bravoFollowing a blockbuster fall that saw it rank as Canada’s fastest-growing specialty service, Bravo! announced today it has secured the exclusive Canadian specialty rights to two compelling new series set to debut on the channel this summer, including the highly anticipated new drama Dallas.

A continuation of the iconic series centered on the Ewing family cattle and oil dynasty, the new series stars some of the original cast and characters, including Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman, along with newcomers, Jordana Brewster, Jesse Metcalfe, Julie Gonzalo and Josh Henderson as the next generation of Ewings. Also joining Bravo! in 2012 is the clever new series Perception, starring Canada’s own Eric McCormack (Will And Grace) and Kelly Rowan (The O.C.), which follows a neuroscientist who uses his unique outlook to help the federal government solve criminal cases. Additionally, the Golden Globe® nominated and Gemini Award-winning hit original drama The Borgias, starring Jeremy Irons, Francois Arnaud, Colm Feore and Holliday Grainger, returns for a gripping second season this spring on Bravo!.

Bravo! also announced today Steven Spielberg’s entertaining-new musical drama Smash, starring Debra Messing (Will And Grace) and American Idol runner-up and songwriter Katharine McPhee, will air Fridays at 9 p.m. ET beginning Feb. 10. Bravo!’s new original companion docu-series Way Off Broadway, which follows Canadian amateur community theatre enthusiasts as they grow into musical entertainers in just eight weeks, now joins Smash on Fridays beginning on a new date, March 2 at 8 p.m. ET.

With a reinvigorated schedule featuring captivating series like The Borgias, Suits, and Franklin & Bash, Bravo! has seen audience growth of 35% for W25-54, 32% for W18-49 and A18-49, and 29% for A25-54. Bravo! also jumped five spots to #13 on the list of most-watched non-sports specialty channels in Canada (A18-49) this past fall.
