Tingle Crosses The Border And Launches In The USA
After successfully testing its innovative mobile dating service in multiple Canadian cities, Vancouver-based AppSocial Media has released Tingle, which has already become Canada’s most popular mobile-only iPhone dating app, for all of the US and Canada. Tingle is the first online dating service in the world to combine realtime voice chat, safer location-based discovery, and powerful online matchmaking features in a single, easy-to-use iPhone app.
Tingle is built around the needs of today’s busy urban singles. In particular, Voice Chat lets users connect conveniently and make a quality connection in realtime discretely and without exchanging phone numbers. Since Tingle calls work via the iPhone’s WiFi or 3G data connection, conversations consume no minutes on the user’s phone plan.
Tingle makes use of location in multiple ways to nurture spontaneous discoveries and meetings, without revealing users’ specific location data to strangers. Radar, one of these, passively monitors the network for 
users who are near one another and, when it makes a match, alerts them via Push Messaging that a match is nearby.
Tingle also puts women in the dating driver’s seat. Designed while studying the behavior of hundreds of different users of online dating sites and apps, the service prevents its more desirable users from being deluged with incoming messages so that they can focus on communicating easily, confidentially, and safely within Tingle.
