Videotron Takes Internet Access Where It Has Not Gone Before

videotronVideotron is pleased to announce that it is bringing Wireless Internet service to customers in various parts of Québec where high-speed Internet has been unavailable until now. In collaboration with Industry Canada’s Broadband Canada program, Videotron is expanding its reach in the following regions: Beauce-Lower St. Lawrence, Victoriaville-Drummondville, Montérégie-Eastern Townships, Laurentians-Mont-Laurier, Lac-Saint-Jean and the North Shore.

Thousands of homes that have been deprived of high-speed Internet will now have access to Videotron’s advanced 4G mobile network and will be able to enjoy an enhanced experience powered by high-quality, reliable, state-of-the-art technology. The Wireless Internet service supports speeds of 1.5 mbps, 25 times faster than dial-up, with a download limit of 10 GB, the equivalent of a hundred hours of browsing and 20 hours of online gaming. Videotron Wireless Internet service is made for today’s world, in which email and Web searches are part of everyday life.

Videotron Wireless Internet service costs $37.95 per month. The equipment – a small outdoor antenna and a modem/router – is installed by a Videotron professional technician, at a cost of $149.95. Customers will be able to count on Videotron’s expertise and 24/7 technical support. For more information and the full list of municipalities where the service is available, visit the Videotron web site or call 1 88 VIDEOTRON.
