Mike Holmes and Holmes Group CEO Pete Kettlewell Launch New Production Company

Make It Right [1]Holmes Group [1] President, Mike Holmes, and former CEO of Media, Pete Kettlewell have announced the creation of Point Load Pictures [2] – a new, independent production company that will develop and produce new series outside of the Holmes brand. Pete Kettlewell will be spearheading the joint venture as its President, while Mike Holmes will act as Chairman.

This decision represents the culmination of many years of passion, creativity and drive for the former Holmes Group CEO, who will be leading Point Load Pictures into the next generation of Canadian and international broadcasting. Known for his creativity and vision, Kettlewell will be maximizing his natural ability of looking at the big picture as he builds and operates the separate company, in partnership with Mike Holmes.

“You’re only as good as the people around you,” says Holmes, “and I’m surrounded by the best. This has been years in the making, and we’re going to keep Making it Right.” Holmes and Kettlewell were part of the team that successfully produced Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection, as well as the Gemini Award-winning Holmes in New Orleans.

“We’re open for business,” says Kettlewell, “and looking forward to the next successful phase of our partnership.”  Point Load Pictures already has a development agreement with HGTV Canada for a spin off show with Damon Bennett of Holmes Inspection. Point Load is represented by William Morris Endeavor in the US and internationally.

Pete Kettlewell’s career in television production spans over two decades, across all levels of studio production, series television and documentary features. His creative flexibility has allowed him to successfully work within a wide variety of genres.

The launch of the new company is an exciting venture while The Holmes Group continues to expand its operations under the direction and leadership of Mike Holmes and newly appointed CEO of Development, Michael Quast, who will head all Holmes branded initiatives.

“Things are definitely changing around here,” commented Mike Holmes on the turn of events. “Instead of two CEOs I’ve now got two separate companies. I couldn’t be happier. Everyone is very excited about the new ventures and opportunities. As for The Holmes Group, there are big things in the works!”
