[1]Distribution360 [1] has announced the sale of three hit preschool series to Hop! Channel [2] in Israel, which is dedicated to preschoolers and their parents. Included in the deal is the hit Blue Zoo [3]-produced animated preschool series Olive the Ostrich, which has been receiving stellar ratings on Nick Jr. in the U.K. since its launch in September; and the marblemedia [4]-produced live action series This is Daniel Cook and This is Emily Yeung, which have aired in over 90 countries, including the U.S. on Disney Junior. These three properties are set to launch on Hop! Channel in 2012.
Olive the Ostrich is a CGI animated series for kids about a young ostrich named Olive who goes on fun [5]adventures to all sorts of amazing imaginary places. Animators bring to life real pictures drawn and submitted by children, which are then integrated into the TV show. Inquisitive and enthusiastic, Olive loves to solve problems and help people whenever she can. She’ll try anything once, which can get her into trouble, but always finds fun and inventive ways of getting herself out of it. Produced by Blue Zoo [3] (U.K.).
This is Daniel Cook and This is Emily Yeung are educational live action series where children join six-year-old hosts Daniel Cook and Emily Yeung on all of their exciting adventures, whether that be learning with Olympic gold medalists and rocket scientists or creating with award-winning musicians and painters. Produced by marblemedia [4] and Sinking Ship Entertainment [6].
“These entertaining series have all been well-received internationally, and we’re thrilled that audiences in Israel will now be able to enjoy them as well,” says Stéphanie Röckmann-Portier, Head of Sales, Distribution360. “Hop! Channel’s mandate to air quality educational programming is a perfect fit for these properties that are designed to be enjoyed by preschoolers and their parents.”
