walmart canadaWalmart Canada has  announced its list of Top 12 Toys of the 2011 holiday season. The retailer has lowered its prices, meaning millions of dollars of overall potential savings in toy purchases alone. It’s just one of the many steps the retailer is taking to help Canadian families enjoy the holiday season, even during tough economic times.

“We recognize that toys remain one of the most popular gifts for young children and we’re committed to offering our customers low prices on many of the season’s most popular toys,” said Todd Sharman, vice president of hardlines and seasonal for Walmart Canada.

In addition to the company’s everyday low prices and rollback pricing, Walmart Canada has a commitment to match prices through their Ad Match program.  Under this program, Walmart Canada will match the advertised in-store retail price of any local competitor for an identical product purchased at a Walmart Canada store (Some conditions and limitations apply.  Full details can be found in store.). “We want our customers to feel confident they can shop for toys at any time in the holiday season and get terrific value for their hard-earned money,” added Sharman.
