TransGaming Brings Spyro To The Mac

transgamingTransGaming Inc. and  Activision Publishing, Inc. have announced that Activision’s innovative new game, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure™, has been brought to the Mac platform using TransGaming’s Mac enablement technology so that Spyro fans around the world can enjoy the game on their Mac computers.

Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure allows kids for the first time to bring toys to life in a videogame by using the magical Portal of Power™.  Players can collect over 30 different characters, each with their own personality, powers, and upgrades.  These innovative, highly collectable toys also have brains, allowing them to remember their level-ups and experiences as they progress through the game.  Additionally, the toys are cross-platform, which gives kids the ability to play their leveled-up toys across multiple game systems.  Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure introduces a completely new way for kids to play with videogames and toys by combining them in a way never before seen.

TransGaming’s Mac enablement engine is used by many of the world’s leading gaming publishers to bring some of their most popular titles to the high growth Mac market. It allows publishers to quickly and cost-effectively release Mac versions of their existing games, expanding the market reach.

“More and more leading publishers and developers are looking to the Mac platform for a largely underserved base of gaming consumers,” said Vikas Gupta, CEO & President of TransGaming, Inc. “We are proud that TransGaming’s Mac enablement technology is a top choice for publishers such as Activision to bring groundbreaking titles such as Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure to a new audience.”
