Chapters IndigoWith a click of a mouse, Indigo’s online shopping experience is now more inspiring for Canadians.  In time for the holiday season, the refreshed indigo.ca website now features a one-stop gift shop for kids and adults, an expanded assortment of life-enriching products and an amplified social experience with Facebook activity feed showing customers what products their friends “like” and “share.” Indigo.ca is a unique and rewarding shopping experience poised to be the online shopping destination for Canadians this holiday season.

Indigo’s website now features improved and expanded merchandising and selection, and convenient gift-giving options, including new eGiftcards that are redeemable online and in-store; The Wrap it How You Like feature, which allows shoppers to wrap individual items or entire orders; and free shipping anywhere in Canada with most purchases of $25 or more.

Committed to interacting and engaging with customers, Indigo has also launched a dedicated Facebook app and mobile site that encourages customers to converse with the company around their interests and inspirations, while also inviting them to submit and vote on ideas—from new products to customer service offerings. Through indigoideas.ca, customers may see their ideas brought to life in Indigo’s ongoing evolution.

“At Indigo, we believe shopping is about connecting Canadians with books and beautiful products that enrich their lives,” says Corinne Suchy, Vice President Online, Indigo Books & Music Inc.  “Our website aims to bring our renowned in-store Indigo experience online with a new look and feel, enhanced content and expanded product offerings in our lifestyle, kids and toy categories. We’re excited to encourage our customers to connect with each other around their favourite products through easy-to-use sharing tools, and with indigoideas.ca they now have a voice in the development of our products and services too.”

Books, which remain at the core of the Indigo experience, maintain a strong presence throughout the website from the guaranteed reads of Heather’s Picks to beautiful books that are gorgeous to give, and Indigo favourites like The Cat’s Table by Michael Ondaatje featured alongside Indigo exclusives like Napa Valley Olive Oil. Knowing that booklovers enjoy giving and receiving recommendations, “sharing functions” from indigo.ca to popular social networks becomes even easier with Indigo’s fresh new online look and feel.

“Our new website underscores our passion for books, reading and storytelling at Indigo,” says Suchy. “We’re excited to share a more joyful shopping experience with booklovers and invite our customers to discover more books, eBooks, toys, décor and thoughtful gifts while joining the conversation at indigo.ca.”
