Presagia Launches SimplyLeave

Presagia [1], a Montreal-based developer of SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions for workforce health and Presagia [2]absence management, today announced the launch of SimplyLeave [3], an innovative and comprehensive leave management software for small and mid-sized employers. SimplyLeave is a SaaS solution that supports employers’ efforts to comply with the FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and State Family and Medical Leave legislation. It comes pre-configured with standard State and Federal leave rules, best-practice workflows supported with wizards and auto-generating ‘next steps’, and leave letter templates.

Today, small and mid-sized employers typically manage employee leave using paper files and spreadsheets, making it difficult to follow legislated requirements. This puts them at significant risk of Department of Labor fines and employee litigation.

“In fact, the decision to launch SimplyLeave was driven by the growing costs of employee absence and recent multi-million dollar settlements due to non-compliance. We believe that this is not only a problem for large employers, so have taken our Presagia Enterprise Leave Module and simplified it to meet the needs of small and mid-sized employers, making it faster to deploy and less costly at the same time,” explains Nicola Boyd, simplyleave [4]Director of Professional Services at Presagia.

SimplyLeave facilitates compliance by centralizing leave data, automating leave workflows, making instant, accurate leave eligibility and entitlement calculations, and providing real-time reporting tools and dashboards. These features work together to enable employers to manage leave consistently and equitably across their employee population, and according to the law.

“A key value provided by SimplyLeave is that it provides employers with the peace of mind that they are administering leave according to the latest FMLA and state FML legislation. This is because Presagia works with the national employment law firm Jackson Lewis and has an internal leave compliance team monitoring leave legislation and making the necessary changes,” affirms Bob Potter, Director of Software Development at Presagia.

With SimplyLeave, small and mid-sized employers finally have access to the type of sophisticated functionality that was previously affordable only to large employers. By implementing this technology, these employers can significantly reduce administrative costs and the risk of leave-related litigation, potentially saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars.
