Jim Short Joins Trend Micro Canada As General Manager

Trend Micro CanadaOttawa technology veteran Jim Short has been named Vice President and General Manager Canada for global Internet security provider Trend Micro. Prior to joining Trend, Short held sales leadership positions at CA Technologies, Telus, Entrust and Exocom.

In making this announcement, Wael Mohamed, Executive Vice President Corporate Strategy and Global Field Operations said that “Jim Short brings a winning combination of security knowledge and sales savvy to Trend Micro. His energy and experience will contribute to delivery of top ranked client, server, and cloud based security to our customers and partners.”

Jim Short added that he “is excited to join Trend Micro, a company that consistently delivers innovative technologies and services that protect users against threats on new and emerging platforms and devices.”

Rounding out Trend Micro Canadian Leadership Team is Jim Over who heads sales operations, Ian Gordon as chief of Marketing and Channels and Tom Moss who leads Technology Services. With operation in 23 countries, Trend Micro has grown its Canadian presence through successful heightened sales efforts.  Trend Micro acquired Ottawa based Third Brigade in 2009 and employs more 80 threat experts, product developers, marketing, sales, and support staff across Canada.
