On the heels of announcing its launch across Canada this November, Hollywood Suite has chosen its advertising and digital agencies of record, Wunderkind and Rocket Digital Management (RDM). Featuring commercial-free HD movies 24/7, uncut and unedited, Hollywood Suite is the exclusive home of movie channels from both Warner Bros. and MGM. Hollywood Suite Inc. is a newly formed, privately owned Toronto-based company founded by industry veterans Jay Switzer, Jeff Sackman, Michael McLaughlin, Catherine Tait and David Kines.
“We’re very pleased to have chosen two outstanding young cutting-edge agencies to help us launch our new offering to Canadian true movie lovers,” says Hollywood Suite President and Co-Founder David Kines. “They have the creativity and agility we’ll need to cut through and connect with Canadians.”
“Wunderkind and its sister firm Scientific Intelligence conducted a pivotal brand mapping session in preparation for the launch of Hollywood Suite this November. We’re creating a new brand for the Canadian marketplace, and their insight-driven approach and creativity are exactly what we needed,” says Hollywood Suite Director of Marketing Kerry Connelly.
Wunderkind, a non-traditional agency with an “open source” network model for creative and production talent, was founded in 2008 by advertising legend Syd Kessler, Jacob Kessler, and Wahn Yoon. Since then, they have developed groundbreaking campaigns for clients such as Plan Canada, Sunbeam, Havergal College, and more. “We’re incredibly pleased to be working with Hollywood Suite to develop a campaign that will get attention on their outstanding product,” says Wunderkind President Wahn Yoon. “We’re all ‘true movie lovers’ at Wunderkind and RDM, and Hollywood Suite’s amazing list of movies and quality delivery make it something we’re eager to introduce to Canadian audiences.”
For web development and social media, Hollywood Suite chose digital agency Rocket Digital Management (RDM), whose diverse clients include Jamieson Vitamins, Zurich Insurance, Havergal College, and the University of Toronto. RDM and Wunderkind have collaborated on several successful campaigns, such as the celebrated Because I am a Girl campaign for Plan Canada, which won Gold in the Not-for-Profit category at the 2010 Cassies Awards. “RDM came out on top after a rigorous selection process, as having the expertise and the agility to build our website and digital properties,” says Connelly.
