Latest Version of Distrix Now Available

spark integration technologiesVancouver’s Spark Integration Technologies, Inc. (Spark) has released the latest version of Distrix®, a software tool for distributed information exchange and systems integration in mixed-environment systems. Distrix 2.3 now supports multiple connections between Distrix servers enabling simultaneous single or multi-protocol links. Information can be rerouted immediately and automatically to backup connections to provide highly resilient communication links without impacting the connecting systems. Support for multiple, simultaneous connections over the same protocol improves throughput for high-volume, multi-threaded data distribution.

Distrix 2.3 introduces hardware abstraction interfaces – a feature that enables software developers to treat hardware devices like software objects. Distrix hardware abstraction interfaces enhance code portability across different operating environments and dispense with the need for application developers to write low-level routines to establish basic communication with the hardware. Application developers can also develop and test their applications using powerful PC-based tools before final deployment on embedded platforms.

Distrix 2.3 also provides these additional features:

•Per-connection bandwidth control
•UDP protocol with auto-discovery
•Local and remote port instrumentation
•Expanded serial port configuration
•Improved application run loop integration
•Support for loading encryption engines into OpenSSL
•Improved support for agent development in Microsoft C#

“Distrix 2.3 delivers new and enhanced features needed by system integrators and product designers to simplify the development and management of distributed systems,” says Chad Trytten, CEO of Spark Integration Technologies, Inc. “Spark’s ability to provide simple, effective connectivity in low resource, real time environments enables our customers to focus on delivering value instead of difficult and risky technical integration issues.”

A free, fully-functional, 60-day trial of Distrix can be downloaded directly from Spark’s website, as is full documentation including tutorials, design guides, and a developer API.
