FIFA 12 Soundtrack List Revealed

EA SportsElectronic Arts Inc. today unveiled the complete music track listing for EA SportsFIFA 12, featuring 39 artists from 15 countries, to create the soundtrack of the season for football fans. Every year, EA’s FIFA franchise brings together an unprecedented mix of genre-spanning music gathered from around the globe to represent each country and its passion for the game.

The FIFA 12 soundtrack delivers new music from Kasabian, The Ting Tings and CSS and hot tracks by Chase & Status, TV On The Radio, Foster The People, The Strokes and Thievery Corporation. In addition, this year’s soundtrack includes such international breakthrough artists as Holland’s The Medics, Brazil’s Bloco Bleque, England’s The Vaccines, Monarchy and Graffiti6, New Zealand’s Naked & Famous, Sweden’s Little Dragon, and American indie rock bands GIVER, Grouplove and Portugal. The Man.Kasabian are no strangers to the FIFA soundtrack.  This will be a second outing for the Leicester based band after EA featured their track L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever), from their self titled debut, on FIFA 2004.  Coming back 8 years later, EA will showcase their latest song ‘Switchblade Smiles’, taken from their highly anticipated 4th album ‘Velociraptor!’FIFA12 Rooney

The Vaccines burst on to the UK music scene in May 2011 with their debut album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’  Herald by the industry as ones to watch, EA are proud to include their debut single ‘Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra)’ as part of the FIFA 12 sound track.

“Our belief is that FIFA soundtracks must always be more than just a collection of songs,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA. “We want to create a true international showcase that embodies dozens of nations and virtually every genre of music. We want to bring the world closer together by uniting the global cultures of football and music.”

Chosen “Best Console Game” last month at Gamescom, and winner of the prestigious E3 Game Critics award for “Best Sports Game” at E3 2011, FIFA 12 will be in stores on September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide. Fans who purchase EA Sports Season Ticket will get full-game digital access to FIFA 12 three days in advance of launch. A full playable demo of FIFA 12 will be available on Sept. 13 for the PlayStation®3 at the PLAYSTATION Store, for the Xbox 360® by Xbox Live Gold Members from Xbox Live Marketplace, and for PC at Orgin.

FIFA 12 will be localized into 18 languages and available in 51 countries. It will be available for the PlayStation®3, Xbox 360®, PC, Wii™, PlayStation®2, Nintendo 3DS™, PSP®, iPhone®, iPad™, and iPod® touch. The game will also be available for digital download on PC at origin.com. The game is rated E for everyone by the ESRB.
