School 26 Now Available In Japan

Silicon Sisters Interactive [1]Silicon Sisters Interactive [1] has announced the Japanese debut of their School 26 game series [2] for girls ages 12 to 16. The fully localized first installment is now available in Japan’s App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch [3] (¥250), and iPad [4] (¥450). School 26 initially released in English earlier this year.

School 26 is a social mastery game that balances high school drama with cute cartoon artwork, lively characters, and an engaging storyline. Playing as Kate, the new girl in school, you must build relationships, defuse tensions, and navigate high school’s sticky social situations. From first crushes to troubled friendships to sexual confusion, the game explores real issues its teen audience can relate to.

Set in a typical North American high school, School 26 gives Japanese players a unique opportunity to experience North American teen culture in their native language, without having to travel abroad. In addition, Japanese players get free access to the English version, making School 26 a useful tool for players who wish to practice their English skills.school 26 [5]

“Japan is the home of the video game, and we’re honored to share School 26 with this rich culture,” says Brenda Bailey Gershkovitch, Silicon Sisters’ CEO. “Plus, Japanese girls are great gamers! We’re excited to attend the Tokyo Game Show where we can meet Japanese teens in person and see what they think of School 26.”

Starting September 15, Tokyo Game Show attendees can take a look at the localized game at booth 5-C25 in the Mobile & Social Game area. Press who would like to arrange a hands-on demo and English language interview with a Silicon Sisters representative should email pr@siliconsisters.ca [6] to secure an appointment. School 26 will also be shown to the public during the show’s all access days.
